In Honor Of Daddy's Work

Since we are in the full swing of tax season Jack would like to send you all a friendly reminder to get your taxes done! And don't wait for the last minute to get your stuff put together, accountants really hate that.

Our Baby the Economist?

Saturday evening I was doing some ironing while Dan played with Jack. Jack started to get a bit fussy so I suggested to Dan to read him a book (a baby book) because he usually likes that. Well Dan took my advice to a degree but thought something else would be a bit more interesting, and it actually lasted for quite awhile.....(I had a video of Dan reading Alan Greenspan's book The Age of Turbulence, but it was unable to load so here is a pic).

RELEASE DATE

Well I was just chatting with my mominlaw and popinlaw and they found out when they are going to be released off their mission in Yap. AUGUST 20th!! How exciting, I wasnt expecting it to be so late, I was thinking more June. But I guess this gives more time for Jack to practice saying grandma. Diane seemed a little sad that she would miss the 4th of July this year again (big Miller holiday) so we should surely plan a "4th of July Fiesta in August". Fireworks, dutch oven and a pinata were mentioned so they must be a very important part.

HUH

Sometimes when I look at Jack I see Dan. But the older he gets the more I see my brother Mitch. I know its crazy. I don't have any baby pictures of Mitch and I know this one is hard to see but its their eyes and nose that look similar. I should really get a baby picture of Mitch and I think you would all be surprised.

YUMO

Well since this little boy is ALWAYS (and that is not a hyperbole) hungry we decided so start the rice cereal. So we straped on the bib mixed up some cereal and took a bite.

It turns out that its not exactly a delicacy, but maybe with some more practice he will get the hang of it and find that maybe its an aquired taste like spinach or something. In the meantime I will be patient and dream of the day that he keeps down more than a bite and has a full tummy and will SLEEP through the night, or a least a little longer.

SALE EXTRAVAGANZA

Well my awesome sil Kara kindly told me about a great sale at Albertsons this week. Not only did she tell me about this fantastic sale she helped me navigate through it TWICE and she gave me some awesome coupons to help out some more. So our storage is slimming down a bunch so Dan and I decided to seriously beef it up this week, and man OH man did we ever. We decided to stock up on the year supply of a few things. I seriously cannot thank Kara enough for all her help and for thinking of me. And not only did she help me she seriously helped like 15 other people, I think she went to Albertsons to help people she knows at least TWICE a day! She is so generous and giving of her time and her talents. So this is what I managed to get: 12 tides, 10 downy, 14 cascade, 4 crest toothpaste, 6 honeynut cheerios, 12 cheerios, 3 packs of papertowls, 12 megaroll packs of toilet paper, 6 dawn soap, 2 bounce dryer sheets, 6 old spice deoderant, 4 secret deodorant, 27 jumbo packs of diapers. The sale was amazing. Total savings: $750.

Well I was only able to get size 2,5 and 6 previously and I really wanted to stock up on size 3, 4, and 5. So last night they got another shipment in so at 6:15 this morning Jack and I were on our way the Rexburg. And we made it out like bandits. We swiped a total of 15 boxes or 60 jumbo packs in various sizes. All I can say is I dont think we will need to buy diapers till the next little baby arrives in a couple years. Its a good thing to save up for occasions like this, and it makes me feel good that we are getting such a great start on our storage again, its really very important and i know most of this isnt food, but its still practial stuff that we use everyday. So the total savings in diapers for today $500. So a total savings of $1250.

Where's Waldo??

Well you may have been wondering about the sudden decline in my blogging, honestly I don't know what to tell you, perhaps its because Jack is sleeping a little bit more through the night so I am not up at all hours and blog at 3 am. Anyways not much is new, I havn't been to busy or anything, just the usual.
