Basement

And finally this is the basement. Currently it holds the prized possesions we don't have space for upstairs or don't know what to do with in general. Note that baby you see on the gun cabinet is not Jack. I would never be that stupid, that baby happens to be the doll the my dear mom used to teach me how to bathe babies with, because I was pretty nervous about the whole ordeal.

And this is our food storage room, I bet you are impressed with our organizational skills, just crack the boxes open and here ya go. Someday we will have shelves, and that day will be nice. The basement has room for a family room, 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, storage room, and furnace room. It will be nice to have this all done in the future.
And this is my long lost pal that I hope to get reacquainted with. Wish me luck.

Master Bedroom

Master Bedroom has some good closet space and is a pretty big room with a door going into the bathroom.

Jack's Room

This kid has more clothes than I do, by far. But I just love looking at all those cute little clothes. So cute.

I could not live without my changing table and diaper genie. Seriously a very good investment.

Bathroom/Laundry

The hallway comes from the family room and kitchen and leads directly to the bathroom and the left side is the nice laundry closet with lots of space and the right are the stairs that lead to the basement. I love that it is a half wall it makes it more open.

Kitchen

Here is the kitchen, I really don't know if you care about seeing all this but oh well. You can skip it if you want. I love the knotty alder cabinets and all the black matching appliances. I am still firguring out how to decorate the rest of the top of the cabinets. The only thing I don't like is the dishwasher is louder than a train. The door you see is out to the garage.

The only autumn/fall decorations I have out. And the pumpkin John picked out for Jack.
The kitchen table and all the decorations I am still deciding where to put. The glass sliding door goes out to the backyard. The backyard has a nice cement pad to put some chairs and the grill on. And here is Dan's christmas. Its a really great grill. The food is delicious. I know it is way before christmas but it was on sale end of season. So worth it.

Family Room

I am still trying to figure out a few decorations in here and the kitchen... this process takes time.

This is our cute little home. It seems very nice here in the subdivision. Its nice and quiet and clean. This spring we are hoping to put in the lawn. Idaho is great compared to Utah. There are actual starter homes here. And the lot sizes are great. We are on .39 acre, a pretty good size lawn. Utah has NOTHING like this.

The front of our house.
View from the front of the house. There are some tracks out there and a grainary way out there and they pick up gravel or something out there too.

View to the west of the house, a big field, apparently good for dirt bikes.
View of "backyard" which currently has 3 trees.

Tiny Turkey

My mom called me the other day with this message: Dad wanted me to call you to tell you that Jack needs a turkey.

I was thinking what turkey? And I was informed that Papa needs a Jack hand turkey to put on his fridge until thanksgiving. Ever since my dad became a papa he is wild about little turkeys made by his grandkids. Funny Papa. It was interesting trying to trace Jack's hand. I ended up doing it while he was snoozing in his crib.

Peter Pumpkin Brownies Gone Wrong

The other day I was browsing the Miller combined cookbook and I happened upon this recipe for Peter Pumpkin Brownies and it noted that it was Dan's favorite. So considering the time of year I thought it would be a fun treat and nice for Dan. Well I made it exactly as the recipe shows and let me tell ya, it went terribly wrong. Instead of delicious warm pumpkin brownies we ended up with brown pumpkin goo. Not at all like the brownies I imagined. So we had a nice pan of pumpkin gooey goo, not much of a treat. So here is the recipe, DO NOT make this unless you like goo. I simply think there must be some key ingredient missing, perhaps flour??? Well if any of you Millers know exactly what is missing let me know and I will give it another whirl.

Peter Pumpkin Brownies (DO NOT MAKE, THIS RECIPE HAS BEEN RECALLED)

1 c. melted margarine
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. pumpkin
1 tsp cinnamon

Bake in 9x13 pan at 350 for about 40 minutes

Define Volunteer Please

I got this from Dan's blog, I thought it was so unreal and ridiculous I just couln't resist posting it here as well. Seriously is this guy for real? How confused can a person really be? Let me lay it all out for you Harry Reid......
  1. Voluntary: of your own free will or design; done by choice; not forced or compelled
  2. Force: to cause to do through pressure or necessity, by physical, moral or intellectual means

Oh Dear

My little boy that I love so much has officially outgrown his newborn clothing. How sad. Hes not a little guy anymore. And he is very nearly out of his newborn diapers. I remember not long ago he was drowning in his newborn clothes and diapers, I never thought this day would come. Sad sad sad. Whats a mother to do??? Have more babies I guess...... (remember not long ago I seriously did not understand how someone would subject themselves through pregnancy again ???? Well my friends I now know and I am dreaming about a house full off little ones.)

Jack Jack

Goodbye Horrid Maternity Pants

Friday was a wonderful day for me. It marked the first day I could officially wear my regular pants again without them looking like they were painted on. Hurray!!!! I HATE maternity pants... seriously if they make pants like that they should at least come with suspenders.

Thank You

Well we made it. We are pretty much settled in and officially Idahoans. We packed up the uhaul on Friday October 24th. We had great help and loads of people turned up to help. I'm telling you prayers really do work and Heavenly Father blesses us and knows our needs. He has blessed us so much this past month, I feel as though I cannot thank him enough. There was so much going on this month that it seemed pretty overwhelming but with his help all went incredibly well. Early Saturday morning we drove to Idaho, again we were blessed with help. Thank you all of those that pitched in, you really are very appreciated. After a few days of busy work we had the house unpacked and almost completely decorated by Tuesday. On Wednesday Dan had to go back to Utah for school and was taking my mom home with him. I was pretty much freaking myself out at the thought of being alone for the very first time with Jack and in a new place and in a new home. So graciously Dan and Mom let me and Jack go to Utah too. Jack and I stayed at Gram and Papas house and hung out for a couple days while Dan went to school and went back to his old job to help them finish some things up on Friday. So here we are today is Sunday, its raining and I love it, although I would love it more if it would snow. I went to sacrament meeting today, there is NO old people in our ward. Seriously everyone is young with young children, maybe a few deacons and beehives but that is the oldest. Seriously the primary must be massive. It was so nice to go to sacrament today, I have missed it these last few weeks. It was so darling one little girl went up to bear her testimony, she couldn't have been more then 3 or 4, the bishop pulled out the stool for her to stand on and she pulled down the microphone and all you could do was hear her she was so little you couldn't even see her behind the pulpit. Children has such sweet and pure spirits. Jack is getting so big. He has a full double chin and his little legs are getting chunkier. He is adorable. Dan watched him while I was at sacrament, when I came home Dan said he was fussy and screaming and farting the entire time. So I picked him up and rocked him about 30 seconds and he was out like a light... no fussing. I wonder what Dan was talking about?? lol. Dan starts his new job tomorrow at Postin Denney and Kilpack. I am excited for him and I hope he enjoys it. Pray that all will go well. So I think that pretty much updates you all. I will take some pix of Jack tomorrow hopefully and I will also try to take some pictures of my new little home. Again thank you for all your help. I would like to express my love and gratitude to Heavenly Father for all he has blessed us with, and for the atonement, I love my family and through the sacrifice our Savior made we can be together forever. I know that pray works, I know that when we pray it brings us closer to our Father and we can strengthen our relationship with him. I know that when we pray specifically our prayers are heard and they are answered. I know that we can gain comfort and support through prayer and faith. I know that when we read the scriptures we can find answers to our questions and that we can find understanding. I know he loves us and he wants us to succeed and to take care of his children and to give them the best opportunity to grow strong in the gospel. I know he wants us to attend church and church activities and to partake the sacrament. I know that when we strive to live righteously life will be happier and it will be easier. If we turn to our Father he will help us and we will feel his love.
